    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Overview
    Perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to supply prescribed sonography examinations for radiographic diagnosis. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Communicate with patients, families and other coworkers in a caring, friendly manner. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

     

    Qualifications:

     

     

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

     

    • Education: Satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and/or equivalent college level program.
    • Licensure: None.
    • Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capabilities as determined to be adequate by the Radiology Manager.
    • Certifications: Registered or registry eligible in General, Abdominal, and Vascular Sonography, with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.
    • Other: Technical skill in Ultrasound/Radiographic procedures.
