Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, according to standard procedures, and State and Federal regulations Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. This position is under the general supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the direct supervision of the Medical Director of Radiology.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and environmental standards.
Positions patient for specified X-Ray exams according to department protocols and procedures.
Works well with all Radiologists to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Prepares written documentation as required by department and hospital policies to record history of patient's illness or injury in their course of care in radiology.
Ensures equipment functions, orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Checks availability of supplies and accessories necessary to perform exams.
Enhances professional growth and workplace knowledge through participation in educational programs, department meetings and in-services.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested which are within capabilities with reasonable accommodations.
Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and functions well in stressful situations.

Education: Secondary and some post-secondary. Must be currently participating in a recognized Radiology program.
Experience: Able to perform radiology procedures without supervision.
Certifications: BLS Basic Life support within 3 months of hire
Other: excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are required, and must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, fax machine, telephone, printer, and copy machine.
Preferred Education: Currently enrolled in an Accredited School of Radiology
Preferred Licensure: N/A
Preferred Experience: Able to perform radiology procedures without supervision.
