What makes the Trauma Surg Unit exciting to work on

The Trauma & Surgery unit is dedicated to meeting the needs of the acute and chronically ill patients in our community across the lifespan. This 30 bed, all private room, unit is part of the Med/Surg division with the primary focus of treating both post-operative and traumatic injuries in an inpatient setting. Common diagnoses of our surgical patient population range from appendicitis to colon resections. For our trauma services patients, we see and treat everything from concussions to gunshot wounds. The unit’s dedicated nursing staff, with the help of talented patient care associates, care for a team of four to five patients across all shifts. People with friendly and compassionate personalities skilled in communication, multi-tasking, and critical thinking will excel in this fast-paced learning environment.
