Primary responsibility will be to deliver at Hospital campus and inside Hospital locations. Secondary will be responsible for operating ROi commercial vehicles with a GVW up to 10,000lbs. This includes the safe loading, delivery, and pick-up of various items to include, but not limited to supplies, mail, small pieces of equipment, lab specimens, food, and pharmacy. The position is responsible for representing ROi in a professional manner by providing the safe and secure delivery of supplies and goods to/from ROi customers. All work should be performed consistent with the goals of the ROi customer community being served, the philosophy of the ROi, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee Code of Conduct. Performs related duties as assigned in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and the Service Standards
Responsible for pick-up and delivery of all items required at the time of service. All packages with tracking labels must be scanned by the ROi designated tracking system to the department or next step in the delivery process.
Responsible for utilizing daily equipment in a safe & damage free manner, (scanning hand held, electric pallet jack, two-wheeler, vehicle, etc. When required, equipment should be logged in and out daily.
Conducts daily check in staging area for product that needs to go out for delivery that day. For example, driver mail box, route racks and refrigerator. Per specifications provided by ROi Transportation Leadership, the driver may be required to inspect product before delivery. All product must be delivered same day.
Responsible for all paperwork assigned. Some examples are maintaining vehicle inspections reports, weekly driver reports, temperature logs and laundry sheets. All reports are turned in to office team determined by ROi transportation leadership.
Maintains all paperwork required by DOT in accordance to the DOT standards (i.e. log books).
Utilizes phone and hands-free cell phone devices to stay in contact with logistics office team for re-routing of product and for better customer service.
ROi policy requires performing a daily pre and post trip inspection of all equipment.
Safely secure freight/loads by using proper equipment and techniques. All loads should be damage free darning loading and transporting. Reports all product damage as soon as possible.
Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle cab, trailer and removing all return items (packages, x-rays, mail, etc.) and staging the items to their proper staging area.
Ability to work with other people to produce high volume, high quality work, in a close setting.
Always observes traffic laws and observes universal precautions consistently, to include PPE, but not limited to. (personal protective equipment).
ROi dress code policy requires wearing a clean and professional looking uniform at all times during your work day. ROi designated badge should be visible to be consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed
Meets ROi attendance standards.
Performs other duties as requested.

Licensure: Current driver license in state of residence. (Missouri-Class E, Illinois-Class D, Arkansas-Class C, Oklahoma-Class D, Kansas Class C).
Missouri Pharmacy Board Technician Licensure after employment.
Other: Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Basic math, reading and computer skills required. Good organizational, human relations and communications skills are required. A Department Of Motor Vehicles driving background check for the state the driver is operating in is required prior to employment. Cooperation with providing the proper information is required for employment. Must have a good driving record. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: -Drive a vehicle for long periods of time. Minimum lifting of 50 pounds required. Some delivery positions require many hours of walking on concrete floors. Equipment Used: Motor vehicles ranging in size of cars to trucks with gross weight of up tp 26,000lbs GVW. Also a forklift, pallet jack (powered and non-powered), 2-wheel dollies, carts.
Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Preferred Licensure: Be able to obtain State E equivalent license endorsements on request. Missouri Pharmacy Board Technician Registration
Preferred Experience: Three to five years of supply delivery experience beneficial.
