Today, as Mercy Hospital South, we continue that legacy. Mercy Hospital South is the third-largest medical center in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Our team offers advanced medical treatment in several specialties, including acute rehabilitation, cardiology, maternity services, oncology/cancer care, orthopedics, neurology/stroke, surgery and emergency medicine.

Nurse-support personnel, under the overall supervision of the Nurse Manager, assists the primary nurse in the daily activities and services necessary to meet the personal needs and comforts of patients and their families. Nurse-support personnel respond to patient requests within their authorized scope of care in a manner that is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values, customer service standards, as well as, the hospital policies of Mercy Hospital South.
Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Type of Experience:
Healthcare/Medical - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Additional Education/Experience Information
Completion of EMT course, or CNA or Patient Care course that includes 75 hrs of classroom instruction and 100 hours of clinicals or enrolled in an accredited RN program with completions of fundamentals of nursing and one clinical rotation, or documented patient care experience within the last 3 years.
