    Position Description

    The person selected for this position will serve as a Senior Systems Administrator over all audio/visual technologies deployed throughout Mercy’s conferencing and collaboration spaces. This person will be the subject matter expert for deployed systems, and will serve as a champion for the power of appropriately implemented conferencing and collaboration systems to enhance Mercy’s ability to provide outstanding care to their consumers and coworkers.


    Position Responsibilities

    Design and end user experience-minded professional to lead systems design for audio/visual technology through the Mercy ministry.Work with Mercy stakeholders and project management team to appropriately select and implement audio/visual technologies.Develop systems design and work to implement standardized and consistent technologies across the Mercy ministry.Work with other team members to integrate audio/visual technologies with back end call control and conferencing platforms.Provide subject matter expertise and end user support for all technology within Mercy conference spaces.Perform investigation and documentation of current state and future audio/visual technologies.Work to identify required core capabilities of audio/visual systems and provide recommendations for future technologies.Provide management of and support for all deployed audio/visual systems throughout the Mercy ministry.Work with outside vendors and contractors to develop and review systems proposals and implement chosen technologies.Methodical eye for synergies and cost savings with respect to audio/visual systems deployed throughout the Mercy ministry.Serve as an advocate for audio/visual technologies to enhance collaboration between Mercy coworkers.Work with Mercy coworkers (often in other departments) to integrate audio/visual systems into clinical platforms.Provide detailed reporting to leadership team on systems’ use along with recommendations to improve upon the value derived from these investments.Stay abreast of developments in the audio/visual technology space and educate other members of the team (and leadership) on new technologies.

    Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience Additional Requirements Understand basic network concepts General understanding of a variety of operating systems Ability to work in a complex technical environment

    Minimum of five years’ experience working with conferencing and collaboration systems.Demonstrated expertise of audio/visual solutions for conference spaces.Expertise working with Cisco, Polycom, Crestron, Christie (and others) audio/visual solutions.Expertise working Cisco and Microsoft back-end platform technologies. Examples include Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Video Control System, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams and/or Skype for Business. Understanding of Microsoft Exchange (on-premise or online) as the basis for calendaring integrations with deployed meeting space technology.Expertise working with digital signage platforms (X20, AppSpace, FWI).Expertise working with room scheduling signage platforms (Teem, Crestron, AppSpace, Evoko).Vendor certifications in one (or more) of the above technologies.
