    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Responds to and appropriately addresses trouble calls within their respective trades. Ascertains information necessary to order repair parts and set up and execute preventive maintenance schedules. Demonstrates the ability of self-direction and adequate communication skills, both verbal and written, to insure appropriate communication within the department and with other departments. Must be computer literate.

    Qualifications:

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

    • Education: Minimum of two years college or trade school in a hospital related trade with certificates and all licenses that currently apply.
    • Licensure: Co-worker in this position must be able to obtain a Arkansas Boiler Operator’s License six months after employment.
    • Experience: A minimum of 5 years general maintenance building experience.
    • Certifications: Must have at least an electrical license or/& hvac license or/& plumbing license.
    • Other: Co-worker in this position must be in excellent health and stand for prolonged periods. Must possess above average manual dexterity and visual acuity. Lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Works around the threat of electrical shock, burns, and injury. Must be able to stand for long periods and work in tight and awkward positions.
    • Preferred Education: Minimum of two years college or trade school in a hospital related trade with certificates and all licenses that currently apply.
    • Preferred Licensure: Arkansas Boiler's License
    • Preferred Experience: A minimum of 5 years hospital maintenance building experience.
    • Preferred Certifications: Must have at least an electrical license or/& hvac license or/& plumbing license.
