    Must have at least one year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience for this position.

    Hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am

    Why Join Mercy’s EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT? 

     

    We are the only Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Louis County.  Our ED focuses on providing patient care through a team based approach. We care for all ages of patients between our adult and pediatric ED and have a separate group of nurses focused solely on each population.  We also have a strong group of nurses who provide care to both populations. Our nurses receive extensive training on all types of patients including Trauma, Stroke and STEMI. Nurses work closely with our ED physicians with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

    Position Qualifications:

    • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
    • You’ll also need a current RN license in our state.
    • Must have at least one year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience for this position.
    • Basic life support training by the American Heart Association required.
    • Education: Associates Degree as minimum, but prefer at least a BSN
      Licensure: Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri
      Experience: Prefer ED or critical care experience; otherwise needs ED fellowship
      Certifications: CPR & ACLS required
      Other: other certification required according to department policy including PALS, TNCC, ENPC. The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus: Minimal: lift floor to chair of <42 lbs, kneel or crouch, pinch force Occasional: carrying <12 lbs (1 handed), push <20 lbs, pull <40 lbs, balance, grip <45 lbs force Frequent: data entry Continuous: hand coordination
