The Dietitian Lead uses advanced practice skills, education and experience for leadership and responsibilities including: Assigned supervisory and management responsibility (while continuing to manage a case load of patients) including responsibility for continued smooth operations of the clinical nutrition services staff and regulatory compliance. Conducts Performance Improvement projects, serves as nutrition representative on key Mercy Service Teams, task forces and special projects and is the liaison for the satellite contract Dietitian. Coordinates In-Services for the kitchen staff and assists the food service supervisor with monthly department meetings, and makes appropriate menu hanges/substitutions for all the modifiepatient menus. Conducts ongoing education and training of competencies for clinical staff anannually evaluates the Registered Dietitians. Self-directed, manages multiple tasks efficientlwith appropriate prioritization and advanced critical thinking skills. Additionally, the Lead Dietitian is responsible and performs duties with a minimum of supervision, for all patient units or service areas, in-patients or out-patients, to assure appropriate identification of patients who are at nutrition risk and to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) Services.
The Lead Dietitian assures that the Mercy Mission, Mercy Values, Service Standards, confidentiality, policies and procedures of the department and Health Center are followed, This
responsibility includes the appropriate utilization of the Health Center's resources to optimize patient care. This position reports to the Executive Director Support Services. Performs duties
and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Required Education: BS Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
Experience: Three years Healthcare experience in a clinical dietetics and/or healthcare foodservice.
Certification/Registration: Both RD and LD status must remain effective and current thereafter.
Registered Dietitian (current) with Arkansas license (or eligibility for AR license).
Other Skills & Knowledge: Basic computer and office equipment skills. Basic skills in software programs including Word, E-mail, Powerpoint or equivalent. Able to communicate effectively to patients, guests and co-worker.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Dietetics or related field.
