Entry level position that assists with food preparation for patients and staff. Responsible for tray/plate assembly and ware washing/sanitation duties.
Prepares beverages and cold food items
Prepares snacks and stocks food items for nursing units
Demonstrates accuracy with tray assembly
Assures attractiveness of patient trays
Demonstrates proper portion control
Demonstrates warewashing (dishes and pots) with accepted procedures
Cleans floors according to outlined procedure.
Records food and refrigeration temperatures as outlined
Assists with rotation of food stocks. Covers, labels, and dates food items.
Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Observes universal
precautions consistently. Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with
dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed
appearance. Meets Health System attendance standards. Performs related duties as
Maintains work area according to approved samitation practices and procedures.

Other: Read and speak English, follow directions, stand long periods of time and walk short distances
Preferred Education: HS Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience: Quantity and Health Care Food Service Experience
