Overview:

 

The part-time Community Specialist staff member works closely with the Development Coordinator to design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for Saline County. This position will solicit gifts for program support, CAMCAC’s main event in Saline County, Rally, and other events that may be created. This position must create and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors and volunteers, as well as manage and write grants. This position performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum three to five years of successful fundraising experience, demonstrate knowledge of the principles and best practices associated with major gift fundraising, personable presence, demeanor and the desire to work face-to-face with the external community, including volunteers and donor prospects, outstanding commitment to customer service. Experience in finance and grant writing/managing.
  • Required Education: Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Experience: Demonstrate success in soliciting major gifts (gifts of $10,000+), experience securing philanthropic support for a hospital or health system.
